Shook Partner Receives ABA Leadership Award

Shook Partner Holly Polglase was honored with the American Bar Association’s (ABA) James K. Carroll Leadership Award at the annual ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) Fall Meeting.

The James K. Caroll Leadership Award was established in 2010 to honor James K. Caroll, who served as the TIPS Chair in 2004. The award recognizes an attorney or judge who has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities to the section of the ABA.

Polglase joined Shook’s Boston office in September, bringing extensive experience in the defense of complex litigation matters. Outside of the firm, she has taken on multiple leadership roles, including serving as president, vice-president, chair and co-chair for not only TIPS, but other sections of the ABA, Defense Research Institute, the Federal Bar Association, Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association.

The ABA awarded Polglase at the 2025 TIPS Fall Meeting in San Diego on October 16.
