JD Supra Names Shook Top Authors in Food & Beverage, Class Action
JD Supra has named four Shook partners as Top Authors in the 2026 JD Supra Readers’ Choice Awards. Partners Katie Gates Calderon, Lindsey Heinz and James Muehlberger were once again named for their work in Shook’s Food and Beverage Litigation newsletter. And for the first time, Partner Mitch Engel was recognized as a Top 10 author in the Class Action category.
As co-chair of Shook’s Food, Beverage & Agribusiness Practice Group, Heinz regularly advises on regulatory compliance, enforcement and policy matters involving FDA-regulated products. Muehlberger co-chairs the firm’s Food, Beverage & Agribusiness Practice Group with Heinz and has been the leader of numerous litigation teams and has represented a wide variety of food & beverage clients.
Gates Calderon is the co-chair of Shook’s Product Liability Litigation Practice Group and focuses her practice on the defense of corporations and counsels food, beverage and pet food companies on matters governed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Engel counsels his clients in complex litigations spanning multiple practice areas. He publishes a monthly newsletter, Developments in Class Action Law, that summarizes all class action decisions issued the previous month.
The JD Supra Readers’ Choice Awards recognize top authors and firms who were read by C-suite executives, in-house counsel, media and other professionals across the JD Supra platform. This year’s awards highlight 342 authors for their visibility and engagement across 33 industry topics.
