Martucci, Hansen, Harrison and Silverman to Address Combating Reptile Tactics in Employment Litigation

For BARBRI's upcoming national CLE, Shook Partners Bill Martucci, Steve Hansen, Ashley Harrison and Cary Silverman will address combating reptile tactics in employment litigation by co-presenting a webinar “Combating Reptile Tactics in Employment Litigation” on September 24. The program will focus on strategy for discovery, voir dire, opening and closing arguments, direct and cross examination and related topics.

The trial strategy known as reptile theory is an innovative approach that is often used in litigation, including employment litigation. The method promotes the use of trial tactics that appeal to the region of the jurors’ brains that is sensitive to safety in the workplace as a tactic to win cases and recover sizable verdicts. This panel discussion will focus on the use of the tactics as described in the litigation context and how counsel can best challenge these tactics throughout the course of the case to increase effectiveness on behalf of business clients.
