Tyler focuses his practice on litigation for Shook’s renowned Product Liability Litigation Group. With hands-on trial experience, Tyler has served as lead counsel in jury trials for Fortune 100 companies in premises and commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts. He has represented hospitals and commercial clients in general, premises and business litigation matters. Tyler has successfully drafted and argued dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss.

Tyler serves as a faculty member for the Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques at Emory University School of Law where he teaches a course on trial advocacy. He has been recognized by leading legal publications as a top litigation lawyer, including Florida Super Lawyers as well as Best Lawyers, Ones to Watch. Tyler is active in the local legal community, where he serves as a member of the Tampa Bay Inn of Court, Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the Bar Leadership Institute, Class of 2023.  

Tyler earned his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. During law school, he served as a member of the school’s nationally recognized mock trial team and was a graduate research assistant for two classes: Property and Real Estate Transactions. Tyler was also a litigation teaching assistant for the Trial Advocacy class and earned the highest grades in Trial Advocacy and Real Estate Transactions as a student. He also served as a student attorney for the DeKalb County Solicitor General’s Office.

Secured summary judgment in favor of Fortune 100 Company in premises liability matters.

Successfully negotiated numerous multimillion dollar settlements for clients, both through direct negotiations with opposing counsel and alternative dispute resolution.
