Kevin is a business litigator with experience in federal district and appeals courts and an impressive business-centric academic career, graduating with accolades and private practice experience in many of the challenging issues faced by business owners and operators. Prior to graduating summa cum laude from law school, Kevin earned an M.B.A. and a B.A., magna cum laude, in economics. 

Before joining Shook, Kevin served in two federal clerkships. In the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Kevin was responsible for assisting the judge with preparing for hearings and trials, and managed a docket of over 200 active cases. His work included drafting opinions and performing legal research on issues including bankruptcy, civil procedure, civil rights, contract law, federal jurisdiction, and federal crimes and sentencing. As a judicial law clerk in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Kevin assisted the judge with preparing for oral argument and drafted bench memoranda and proposed opinions on appeals about civil rights, institutional reform consent decrees, insurance, and federal criminal law.

Kevin earned his J.D. summa cum laude from Tulane University Law School, where he graduated second in his class, was recognized with multiple academic awards, and was a senior articles editor for the Tulane Law Review. He gained “real world” experience while in law school, working in summer associate positions and a clerkship in private practice law firms focusing on commercial litigation, multidistrict litigation, employment, finance, malpractice, regulatory compliance and environmental tort practice areas. He also served as a student attorney in the Tulane Civil Rights and Federal Practice Clinic, litigating two civil rights cases that included successfully arguing a discovery motion in federal court.

Kevin’s business litigation practice is augmented with a business education that includes an M.B.A. and a B.A. magna cum laude in economics from Millsaps College. He is a rising star in business litigation, committed to delivering results for clients in challenging business disputes.
