Esther is a business attorney with education and experience in arbitration, dispute resolution and commercial law. Her experience includes working as a senior associate at a legal consulting company, advising corporations on high-value arbitration and corporate matters.
Esther held leadership roles in arbitration training and legal education in Ghana before resuming her legal studies in the U.S. She earned her J.D. with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law, receiving two Dean’s Awards for academic excellence. She also earned a Qualifying Law Certificate from the Ghana School of Law, a two-year law school for advanced professional education. After completion, she served as assistant professor for the Alternative Dispute Resolution course at the Ghana School of Law, and the Arbitration and Civil Procedure course at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She was also a judicial clerk to Justice Charles Ekow Baiden, Court of Appeal, Judicial Service of Ghana – Accra, where she prepared legal opinions on issues arising from disputes brought before the judge and edited draft judgments. Esther earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, graduating in the top 5% and receiving the Royal Bank CoHSS Award for Best Student in Private Law.
Before attending law school at the University of Iowa, Esther was a senior associate with O&A Legal Consult, advising major corporations on arbitration, tax compliance, labor disputes, loan facilities, liquidation, and corporate establishment and achieving favorable resolutions. She was also a legal administrator at Ghana ADR Hub, leading stakeholder discussions on arbitration and dispute resolution legislation, presenting at international mediation conferences and conducting ADR training workshops for professional and entrepreneurial organizations.

Esther’s experience in advising and representing clients includes the following.Advised and represented a major oil marketing corporation in the settlement of its contractual agreement through arbitration.
Advised a major pharmaceutical company on tax assessment and compliance with safety protocols with regulators Ghana Revenue Authority and Food and Drugs Authority, enabling millions of dollars in savings.
Successfully represented and obtained a judgment in favor of a leading banking institution in the resolution of its labor disputes with its employees at the National Labor Commission.
Advised a non-banking financial institution on a term loan facility of $3.2 million.
Advised a property management firm on liquidation and winding up proceedings under Ghanaian law.
Successfully appealed a million-dollar land dispute involving commercial property.
