Kailin serves clients as part of the firm’s Business Litigation Group.

Before coming to Shook, Kailin served as a staff law clerk to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit where she performed research and prepared bench memoranda on appeals to assist Seventh Circuit judges at oral argument. She also prepared and presented draft opinions and orders for all judges of the Seventh Circuit.

Kailin brings hands-on business experience to her role as a business litigation attorney. She followed her undergraduate degree in economics with three years as a mutual fund and business analyst for a major investment company. This was followed by three years at Uber, progressing in her career to become the Senior North America Operations Manager. There she lead a team of in-house counsel, policy advisors and operations managers to develop a national compliance process that the legal team estimated prevented millions of dollars in fines. Kailin enjoys using insights gained from her previous career to understand her client’s business needs and provide them with relevant business litigation counsel.
