Kailin serves clients as part of the firm’s Business Litigation Group.

Before coming to Shook, Kailin served as a staff law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. While clerking, she prepared and presented draft opinions and orders for all judges of the Seventh Circuit, with a focus on federal civil rights appeals.

Kailin brings valuable hands-on business experience to her role as a business litigation attorney. She followed her undergraduate degree in economics with three years as a mutual fund analyst and business analyst for a major investment company. This was followed by three years at Uber, progressing in her career to become the Senior North America Operations Manager. Kailin has led multi-functional teams to develop a national compliance process, increase company revenue by millions of dollars, and launch new products. Kailin also has experience in data analysis and statistical analysis—she has coauthored multiple white papers on investment trends, conducted and advised mobile-app randomized control experiments, and been quoted in The Wall Street Journal. Kailin enjoys using insights gained from this previous career to understand her client’s business needs and provide targeted business legal counsel to her clients.
