Elise is a business litigator with experience in trial preparation for successful medical malpractice, transportation, employment and personal injury cases. She has conducted extensive legal research and analysis in contract law, antitrust and data privacy and has experience drafting motions for summary judgement, amicus briefs and briefs in opposition to class certification. She has played a critical role in document review in the production of discovery, participated in witness trial preparation, and has developed strategies that have resulted in creative legal arguments. During her time as a summer associate with Shook, Elise co-authored and presented a CLE submission on Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard and its effect on firm DEI programs.

Elise graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where she was a staff editor of the UIC Law Review. She also won best respondent’s brief in a moot court competition and was the recipient of multiple CALI Awards. Elise earned her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in only three years from DePaul University, where she studied political science and law theory. While there, she gained experience as an intern in pro bono work for persons marginalized by poverty, age and disability.
