Nicole, who focuses on complex products liability litigation, has participated in the defense of such Fortune 500 companies as DuPont, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Altria Group. In addition to products liability cases, she has worked on a wide variety of matters including commercial, environmental and employment disputes. Nicole practices before state and federal courts in individual lawsuits, class actions and multidistrict litigation. She has significant experience identifying, developing and producing the top-quality experts demanded in complex litigation. Nicole also has a deep knowledge resolving complicated discovery issues and managing teams responsible for substantial and critical document productions.
As a native of Panama, Nicole is fluent in Spanish and possesses the cultural sensitivity necessary to work effectively in Latin America. During law school, she had the privilege of clerking for a distinguished appellate judge in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since her arrival at Shook, she has been involved in various matters connected to the region, including a high-profile civil racketeering action.
In 2006, Nicole co-chaired Shook Miami's summer associate program and has mentored numerous summer interns. She also dedicates significant time to pro bono work and community and bar activities.
