Sean is a product liability litigator who has represented businesses in a wide range of complex commercial litigation in both federal and state courts. Sean is known for successfully handling all phases of pre-litigation, including case strategy and budget reporting, fact investigation, non-expert and expert discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, and early dispute resolution.

Sean’s employment law experience includes defending employers before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination
(MCAD), the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights (RICHR), and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Sean also counsels employers on compliance with discrimination, wage and hour laws, restrictive covenants, reductions in force, employee discipline decisions, reasonable accommodations, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and paid family and medical leave (PFML) requirements, and employee handbooks.

Before coming to Shook, Sean practiced not only in product liability and employment but also other areas of law, with a comprehensive background of representing clients in business law, construction and design law, professional liability, class actions, and data privacy and cyber law.
