She has worked across negligence, personal injury, premises liability, employment, contract and commercial matters.

Before joining Shook, Maryam served as judicial clerk for the Honorable Joseph Quinn and the Honorable Christine Van Aken for the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, where she analyzed dispositive motions and prepared recommendations for the court.

Maryam’s court experience began in law school, when she externed for Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero at the Supreme Court of California. There, she researched significant appellate matters involving commercial, constitutional, administrative and other issues of public importance.

Maryam earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco.
