Kamalani is an associate in Shooks Class Action & Appellate Litigation group in Orange County. Born and raised on Guam, with deep ties to Hawaii, Kamalani brings the relationship-centered values of her island roots to her practice, pairing a thoughtful, client-focused approach with the rigor that complex litigation demands.

Kamalani has represented clients in breach of warranty, product liability and toxic tort matters, including asbestos and silica litigation, as well as in personal injury defense for motor transportation and e-commerce companies. Her experience also extends to warranty and business disputes involving fraudulent concealment and misrepresentation claims. She has worked across every phase of litigation from pre-litigation through trial and post-trial proceedings, and has managed substantial caseloads spanning multiple complex matters at once.

Before joining the firm, Kamalani handled matters in both state and federal courts and served as second chair in California state-court jury trials that resulted in defense verdicts. She supported trial strategy, conducted evidentiary analysis, prepared and examined witnesses, and identified issues in real time in the courtroom. Kamalani has also taken and defended fact, expert and corporate representative depositions, and has drafted and argued dispositive and pretrial motions involving pleadings, arbitration, discovery, sanctions, attorneys fees and other complex litigation issues.
