Shook Named Best Law Firm for Women by Seramount

Seramount has selected Shook among its list of Best Law Firms for Women & Diversity for 2023 and is included in the Hall of Fame. For the 13th year, this recognition highlights Shook’s commitment to the support, development, retention and promotion of women attorneys. 

Each year, Seramount surveys law firms to assess how they use best practices to recruit, retain, promote and develop women lawyers. Shook’s Executive Committee is composed of 45% women lawyers, women and diverse attorneys make up 50% of office leadership and 32% of practice group leadership are women.

Shook recently announced 13 new partners to the firm, of which nearly half were women or diverse attorneys. Women or diverse lawyers lead the firm’s Chicago, Hartford, Houston, Orange County, Philadelphia, St. Louis and Tampa offices. Shook is led by Madeleine McDonough now in her second term as firm chair.
