Shook Represents Sportswear Retailer in Employment-Related Litigation

U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania

Washington

Shook, Hardy & Bacon has represented a major sportswear company in litigation involving discrimination, wage and hour, and other employment-related claims. In one jury trial, we prevailed against sexual harassment and retaliation claims brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on behalf of three former employees as well as alleged class members. We also obtained a complete defense verdict in a high-stakes executive employment case alleging age and disability discrimination that sought $4.25 million in actual damages and more than $25 million in punitive damages against our client. Shook has continued to represent this client in consolidated wage and hour class actions that assert claims of unpaid off-the-clock hours in violation of the Fair Labor Standard Act and state labor laws.
