Shook Partner Phil Goldberg Speaks on Generic Drug Liability Laws
Shook, Hardy & Bacon Partner Phil Goldberg participated in a congressional staff briefing on innovator liability sponsored by the George Mason Law School’s Congressional Civil Justice Caucus Academy. In his capacity as the director of the Progressive Policy Institute’s (PPI’s) Center for Civil Justice, Goldberg debated an attorney from Public Justice to explain why branded drug companies should not be subject to liability when a plaintiff alleges she took only generic versions of a drug made by entirely separate companies.
Goldberg is the Managing Partner of Shook’s Washington, D.C. location and Co-Chair of the firm’s Public Policy Practice Group. He has more than 25 years of experience on liability-related public policy, public affairs and public relations issues and is director of PPI’s Center for Civil Justice.
