Behrens to Speak at IADC’s Corporate Counsel College

Shook Partner Mark Behrens will be giving a TED talk-style presentation at the International Association of Defense Counsel’s (IADC) Corporate Counsel College April 26, 2018, in Chicago. Behrens will moderate the session “PREDICT: Future of Trump and Congress–Midterms, Relevant Corporate Policies,” a panel of business and civil justice standard-bearers. The presentation will cover U.S. politics, predictions of the collective political future and what policy and political changes corporate counsel can expect in the upcoming years.

The Corporate Counsel College, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, is a two-day program that offers CLE credit designed for in-house counsel and outside advisors. It is an interactive learning experience that showcases the knowledge and experience of panelists, in-house corporate counsel and outside counsel attendees.

Behrens is the Co-Chair for Shook’s Public Policy Practice Group in the Washington, D.C. office. The IADC previously honored him with the Joan Fullam Irick Award for exceptional leadership for his role as Civil Justice Response Committee chair. Behrens now serves as a college coordinator for the program.
