Lawyer Monthly Names Bae Patent, Trademark & Copyright Lawyer of the Year

Shook Associate Keith Bae has been named the “2018 Patent, Trademark & Copyright – Lawyer of the Year – USA” by Lawyer Monthly. 

The magazine’s annual awards honor the achievements of law firms and individual lawyers “who have delivered exceptional results for their clients over the past 12 months,” and “have dedicated their resources to innovation, built on their depth of expertise, and performed outstandingly.”  

Bae concentrates on the preparation, prosecution and licensing of patent applications in the computer software, telecommunications, electrical and mechanical arts. He works with clients engaged in complex technologies including artificial intelligence, immersive environments (virtual and augmented reality), natural language processing and distributed ledger technologies (blockchain). 

He also is the principal author of @DLTcounsel, a technology and legal news resource covering blockchain.

Bae is the president of the Intellectual Property Section of the Kansas Bar Association, and is a member of the Technology Subcommittee of The Missouri Bar’s Task Force on the Future of the Profession.
