Shook Chair Madeleine McDonough Featured in 2019 Power 100

For the second consecutive year, the Kansas City Business Journal selected Shook, Hardy & Bacon Chair Madeleine McDonough for inclusion in the Power 100, which consists of the most influential people in the business community.

The article reads, “Madeleine McDonough isn't comfortable talking about herself as a woman leader, partly, we suspect, because her accomplishments need no qualifiers. Still, she leads the area's largest firm, with almost 230 local attorneys and 484 firm wide. McDonough's entire legal career has unfolded at Shook, where she worked her way up through the ranks and led three of the firm's practice areas. Her five-year term will end in January 2022. The former clinical pharmacist will have to prescribe just the right doses at just the right times as her industry adapts to changes in the supply of young lawyers and clients' evolving expectations regarding billing.”
