The Legal 500 United States has again recognized Shook, Hardy & Bacon as one of the premier litigation firms in the country, again giving top marks to product liability practices and, for the first time, adding the firm’s eDiscovery and cybersecurity practices to the annual rankings.
Shook’s eDiscovery practice received a Tier 2 ranking; Patrick Oot, Co-Chair of the Data and Discovery Practice Group, was recognized as a Leading Lawyer in the field. Shook also received a Tier 4 ranking for Cyber Law, part of the firm’s Privacy and Data Security practice headed by Partner Al Saikali.
Shook received Tier 2 designation in three categories of Product Liability, Mass Tort and Class Actions, for its work in toxic tort defense, consumer products, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Shook also earned a Tier 3 ranking in automotive/transport.
Three other partners received Leading Lawyer honors in Product Liability: Frank Kelly (Automotive/Transport, Consumer Products); Ken Reilly (Consumer Products); and Dave Erickson (Toxic Tort – Defense).
