Sastre and Strongman Nominated as ALM Litigators of the Week

ALM’s Litigation Daily reports that Partners Hildy Sastre and Jon Strongman were nominated as Litigators of the Week, for their win in a Taxotere bellwether trial September 26, 2019. 

“Shook, Hardy & Bacon’s Hildy Sastre and Jon Strongman successfully defended Sanofi-Aventis in the first bellwether trial over the chemotherapy drug Taxotere," ALM said. “After a two-week trial, federal jury in New Orleans deliberated for less than two hours before siding with the defense across the board in the closely-watched test case.”

The jury verdict was the first trial result in an MDL of more than 11,000 cases. 

The case is Earnest v. Sanofi Aventis U.S. LLC, No. 16-17144 (E.D. La.)
