Johnson to Present at Responding to the Coronavirus Webinar
Shook Of Counsel John F. Johnson will present at the Food and Drug Law Institute’s (FDLI) live webinar on the Coronavirus, March 19.
The webinar, “What are FDA’s Tools for Responding to Public Health Emergencies Such as the Coronavirus (COVID-19)?” will discuss FDA’s acknowledgment that the COVID-19 epidemic could cause critical medical product disruptions and shortages, particularly with imports from China. Issues addressed will be FDA-approved Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs) for medical products used to diagnose or prevent transmission of COVID-19 and other tools the agency has to decrease the impact of supply chain disruptions.
Johnson works with companies to develop and implement practical and cost-effective solutions for complying with the laws administered by Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other federal and state agencies. He works with manufacturers, distributors, brand owners, importers and retailers of food, drugs, devices, cosmetics and animal products to satisfy their regulatory obligations, and has written about FDA tools to respond to public health emergencies.
