Law360 Names Concepción, Gates Calderon, Lawson and Saikali to Editorial Boards

Law360 has chosen Partners Carlos Concepción, Katie Gates Calderon, Laura Lawson and Al Saikali to serve on the legal publication’s 2020 editorial boards.

Concepción, chair of the firm’s Global Arbitration Practice, who represents parties in international arbitrations in a number of industries, will provide thought leadership for the International Arbitration Editorial Board for a second consecutive year. Gates Calderon, co-chair of Shook’s Food, Beverage and Agribusiness Practice Group, and founding co-chair of Shook’s Cannabis Law Practice Group, will provide insight for the Cannabis Editorial Board. Gates Calderon counsels companies regarding FDA and USDA label reviews, policy issues, emerging legal developments and other risk-management considerations. Lawson, co-leader of a construction law team providing outside general counsel services, will serve on the Construction Editorial Board. Lawson represents design professionals, contractors and owners as part of her construction law practice. Saikali, chair of the Privacy and Data Security Practice, will serve on the Cybersecurity and Privacy Editorial Board for a third consecutive year. Saikali also maintains a blog, Data Security Law Journal, where he regularly posts about legal developments and trends in data security and privacy law.

Attorneys appointed to the Law360 editorial boards must go through a stringent nomination and vetting process. Selected attorneys communicate with editors and reporters off the record, offering insight into legal and business trends and helping to direct and shape news coverage. Board members also serve as on-the-record sources throughout the year.
