Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ) has appointed Shook Partner Mark Behrens to its board of directors this month. Behrens is co-chair of the Public Policy Practice Group and also serves clients in product liability, appellate and national amicus practice.
LCJ is a network of corporate counsel and defense bar practitioners whose members serve as a collective voice in civil justice reform. According to its mission, the LCJ “promotes excellence and fairness in the civil justice system to secure the just, speedy and inexpensive determination of civil cases.”
As a member of the board of directors, Behrens joins a 27-person governing body to ensure that the LCJ continues to serve and work on behalf of its members. Behrens was nominated for this position and will work with both corporate and defense LCJ board members which include executives from Ford, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson.
