Shook Co-Chairs Speak at Trial Lawyers of Mass Tort Conference
Co-Chairs of the Class Action and Appellate Litigation Practice Group Michael Mallow and Amir Nassihi are presenting at the Trial Lawyers of Mass Torts (TLMT) Bench and Bar Conference in Los Cabos on November 19 and 20.
On November 19, Mallow will moderate the panel, “Class Action Trends,” exploring recent trends in class action practice. Topics will include developments in the law surrounding Article III standing, and recent developments in arbitration law and class settlement approval, notice and administration.
On November 20, Nassihi will be on the panel, “Current Trends in Common Benefit Allocation and Attorney Fee Application,” addressing approaches to common benefit structures in MDL litigation as well as class counsel fees in mega-fund litigations. The goal of the panel is to provide attendees a thorough understanding of these critical aspects of MDL practice.
Both Mallow and Nassihi are highly experienced trial lawyers. Mallow also serves as the managing partner for Shook’s Los Angeles office, and Nassihi also co-leads Shook’s Automotive Industries Group.
The TLMT Bench and Bar Conference is tailored to tackle contemporary issues in complex litigation, focusing on class actions and mass torts, and to enhance collegiality and mutual understanding between attorneys and judges.
