LA Times Recognizes Los Angeles Office and Leadership
The Los Angeles Times has recognized Shook among the 100 Top Law Firms in Los Angeles County. The publication also named Los Angeles Managing Partner Michael Mallow a 2025 Law Firm Visionary. The 2025 Law Firm Visionaries were selected based on their successes including consistent demonstration of strong leadership throughout the span of their career, community involvement and board memberships that showcase leadership beyond their organization.
Shook’s Los Angeles office opened in 2019 and since then has grown from five to 30 attorneys. Under Mallow’s leadership, the office has gained multiple lateral partners including trial lawyers Jan Dodd, Chris Kondon, Saman Rejali and Stephen Weisburd, who together bring a diverse portfolio to the Business Litigation, Product Liability and Class Action practice groups.
Shook Los Angeles handles a wide range of state and federal regulatory matters, such as those filed under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, California’s Consumer Invasion of Privacy Act and the California Consumer Privacy Act. The group’s combined experience defending privacy class actions complements Shook’s stature as a leading defense firm in the country for Fortune 500 companies defending against class actions brought under state biometric privacy laws.
