Shook Chair Madeleine McDonough will speak as part of a special 30th anniversary panel at this year’s American Conference Institute’s Drug and Medical Device Litigation Conference, taking place December 3-4 at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City.
On December 3, McDonough, along with Reed Smith Senior Life Sciences Policy Analyst James Beck and Berkeley Research Group Managing Director Dan Troy, will present, “30 Years of Drug and Device Litigation: What’s Changed, What Hasn’t, and What’s Coming Next.” With three decades of experience in drug and medical device defense, the panel will speak on defining challenges, pivotal shifts and enduring realities that have shaped defense, and insights on what is to come.
On December 4, Shook Partner Tom Sheehan will be part of the panel, “Navigating Rule 702 Amendments: Strategies for Expert Testimony in Drug and Medical Device Litigation,” and Katie Gates Calderon will be a panelist in “The Evolution of Runaway Verdicts and Jury Awards: Defending Against Massive Damages and Shifting Public Sentiment.”
This year’s milestone conference brings together 400+ pharmaceutical and medical device litigators, private practice attorneys and judges hearing these matters to discuss the latest multidistrict litigation strategies, emerging trends and key case developments.
