Shook Attorney Named Among Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers in D.C.

The National Black Lawyers has named Shook Staff Attorney Ashley B. Hayes (Ward) among its Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers in Washington, D.C. This list recognizes the top Black attorneys for their outstanding legal skills and professional contributions. 

At Shook, Hayes practices in the Data and Discovery Strategies Practice team, using her considerable experience in data technology, researching, reviewing and evaluating information to protect and defend clients’ legal and business interests.

In 2023, Hayes was awarded the Shook, Hardy & Bacon John F. Murphy Compass Award for Leadership. She previously served as a mentor for Pursuing the Esquire, a program for aspiring potential attorneys of color who want to enter the legal profession.
