The LGBTQ+ Bar Names Shook Partner to Best 40 Under 40

The National LGBTQ+ Bar Association has recognized Shook Partner Bill Walberg in its 40 Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40 awards. Each year, the association recognizes LGBTQ+ legal professionals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBTQ+ equality.

At Shook Walberg focuses his practice on product liability litigation in both individual and complex litigation. He has served on numerous case teams and trial teams in the defense of personal injury and wrongful death matters in state and federal jurisdictions across the country. Walberg has served as a key player in developing trial themes, resulting in favorable verdicts in many of his trials.

Outside his practice, Walberg devotes his time supporting diversity and inclusion issues. He serves as vice president of the board of directors of SAVE, Inc., a nonprofit that helps provide housing solutions for those who are socially and medically disadvantaged in Kansas City, including those living with HIV/AIDS. He also is a member of the LGBTQ Bar Association of Greater Kansas City and the LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

The LGBTQ+ Bar Association will recognize Walberg at the 2026 Lavender Law Conference & Career Fair to be held July 13-15 in Chicago.
