Arlene is an attorney in Shook’s Class Action and Appellate Litigation Group, where she focuses on defending automotive manufacturers in complex consumer litigation. She has substantial experience managing all phases of litigation, including motion practice, voluminous discovery and strategic case development. Arlene regularly appears in court, takes depositions and represents clients in mediations and settlement conferences.
Her practice spans both state and federal courts, with experience handling matters from pre-litigation strategy and early case assessment through trial preparation and resolution. Arlene has successfully drafted dispositive motions resulting in dismissals and other favorable outcomes. She also provides practical guidance to clients on litigation risk, case management and procedural strategy.
Before joining Shook, Arlene gained experience in post-mortem trust administration and estate planning, including representing trustees and beneficiaries in trust and inheritance disputes, recovering trust assets and guiding administration from marshalling assets through final distribution.
