Arlene brings a background rooted in litigation and business to Shook’s Class Action and Appellate Practice. 

Arlene has experience handling post-mortem trust administration and in drafting estate planning documents for clients, in addition to working closely with opposing counsel and the court. She has collaborated with financial advisors and tax professionals to prepare trust administration documents and administer trusts. Arlene has represented clients in connection with the sale of trust-owned real estate and in payment of debts of the trust. She has drafted discovery requests and responses, along with e-file and service of documents.

Earlier in her career as a law clerk for a private practice, Arlene drafted motions and pleadings, including demand letters, complaints, discovery, summary judgments and declarations. She synthesized complex research for attorneys in state and federal law and issues related to the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA).
