Jonathan has more than 29 years of experience advising clients on the legal and regulatory aspects of complex scientific issues. He has been a member of multiple trial teams and has worked on individual cases and class actions in state and federal courts across the country. In addition, Jonathan has worked on several international product liability litigation matters. He rejoined Shook after serving as senior counsel at Altria Client Services LLC, where he managed a variety of litigation matters.
Jonathan also has experience representing debtors and creditors in bankruptcy cases. He assisted the firm as regional counsel for a national retail company on bankruptcy, credit and security interest issues.
Earlier in his career, Jonathan served as a judge advocate in the U.S. Army Reserve, providing legal assistance to soldiers and their families in the Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, area and in several surrounding states. He was also a certified ethics counselor responsible for providing guidance on ethics and standards of conduct to soldiers and commanders. In addition, Jonathan served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve as an aircraft maintenance crew chief.
