Matthew practices in the firm’s Class Action and Appellate Litigation group.
Matthew has worked in product liability, personal injury and employment matters, and his experience includes managing a docket of over 70 cases, tracking deadlines and coordinating case strategy. He has conducted plaintiff depositions and has drafted dispositive and procedural motions, including demurrers, motions to compel, and CCP §998 offers. Matthew has also prepared and responded to written discovery requests and performed legal research to support motion practice and strengthen defense positions. Matthew has appeared in court for motion hearings and ex-parte applications and has negotiated settlements with opposing counsel.
Matthew earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School, Los Angeles, where he was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and excelled in moot court competition. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Ronald S. Lew of the U.S. District Court Central District in Los Angeles and later to the Honorable Lisa Sepe-Wiesenfeld of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
