Casey focuses his practice on class action and complex litigation and appellate law.

Before joining Shook, Casey served as a civil litigation associate, assisting clients in shareholder derivative actions, consumer class actions and other complex matters. He has experience taking and defending depositions in civil litigation actions; drafting and arguing pre-trial motions; drafting, propounding and responding to discovery requests; and drafting complaints and answers in both state and federal courts.

While in law school, Casey served as a legal intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas. There, he assisted in drafting multiple appellate briefs to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He also served as a graduate assistant for KU Athletics, where he conducted leadership training for transfer and first year student-athletes and helped create and facilitate diversity and inclusion programming.
