Mark focuses his practice on litigation support and electronic discovery in various pharmaceutical and product liability matters. This includes supervision and quality control of document review teams of all sizes from a single reviewer to several dozen.

Mark has extensive experience reviewing documents for privilege concerns and creating final privilege logs for production. He obtained his RelativityOne Review Pro Certification, and is well-versed in the design of database searches to identify documents requested by various case and trial teams. In addition, Mark has worked closely with our nurse analyst team to manage the review of voluminous medical records for several high-profile pharmaceutical cases. He also has led offsite document collection efforts on multiple occasions.

Mark has extensive experience supporting Shook partners who are taking depositions, which includes conducting pre-deposition research, providing real-time input to the partners regarding questions to be asked of deponents and topics to be explored, as well as preparing detailed summaries of the depositions afterwards.

Mark believes in giving back to his community and is an active participant in the firm’s Adopt-A-Neighborhood Project (AAN), helping to rehabilitate abandoned houses in the Ruskin Heights neighborhood of Kansas City.
