Kate is an associate in Shook’s General Liability Litigation Group. She has assisted in litigation with attorneys across the firm in multiple practice areas including the Class Action and Appellate, Product Liability Litigation, Business Litigation and Intellectual Property Litigation Practices.

Kate graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri School of Law where she achieved membership into the Order of the Coif, worked as the senior note and comments editor for the Missouri Law Review, and was a 2024 recipient of the Mizzou 18 Award. Kate also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Mark D. Pfeiffer on the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District, where she performed a variety of research and writing assignments in preparation for oral arguments.

During law school, Kate worked for the University’s (Mizzou) Women’s Basketball program as coordinator of recruiting operations. Prior to this, Kate played on the women’s basketball team for Auburn University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She was named to the All-SEC Second Team and SEC All-Defensive Team, in addition to being a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll student, a two-time CoSIDA All-District Academic All-American, and was named 2017 SEC Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in Women’s Basketball. She would go on to play professionally for Luleå Basket in Sweden. Kate brings this competitive spirit for excellence and success to her legal practice.
