Austin focuses his practice on product liability litigation with an emphasis on automotive litigation. He has nearly 15 years of experience defending the biggest names in the automotive industry and also defends manufacturers and corporate clients in product liability, commercial and complex civil litigation matters. Austin also has extensive experience defending businesses in personal injury and premises liability litigation. He handles all aspects of litigation from pre-litigation negotiation, law and motion, trials and appeals in both California and Michigan.
Austin has defended claims of wrongful death, product defect, negligence, fraud and breach of warranty. He has first chaired multiple trials, involving automotive, personal injury and premises liability.
Austin earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law where he participated in the Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition and the McLennon Moot Court Competition.
