Shook Adds Three Partners, Accelerating California Expansion, Reports ALM

ALM reported on Shook’s latest addition of three partners, Chris Arledge, Austin Henderson and Catherine Muir in “Shook Adds 3 Partners in ‘Fierce’ Market, Looks for More California Growth.”

“Litigation-focused Shook, Hardy & Bacon has added three partners over the last week, bringing two experienced litigators from litigation firms George LLP and Bowman and Brooke, as well as a cybersecurity counselor from Sidley Austin,” wrote ALM.

Based in California, Arledge has first chaired more than 35 trials and arbitrations to a verdict or award. This includes the full range of business disputes, from intellectual property cases to contract disputes, employment disputes, fraud, defamation and wrongful death, and personal injury cases arising out of gas-pipeline explosions.

Practicing out of Orange County, Henderson handles all phases of litigation from pre-litigation negotiation, law and motion, trials and appeals. He also has significant experience defending businesses in personal injury and premises liability litigation cases and is admitted in California and Michigan and has first-chaired trials in both states.

Muir brings significant experience to Shook’s Washington, D.C. office advising clients on privacy and cybersecurity issues, investigations, regulatory enforcement matters, and matters involving the Federal Trade Commission. She also has experience in regulatory and policy issues in automotive cybersecurity and autonomous vehicles.
