Jonathan is part of Shook’s General Liability Litigation Practice Group, aiding in a wide array of active matters for Fortune 500, national and local clients.
Before joining Shook, Jonathan served a two-year term as a federal law clerk to Chief United States District Judge Kristi K. DuBose of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama. His duties were comprehensive and substantive, including scrutinizing and discussing issues of fact and law pertaining to active cases with Judge DuBose, career law clerks, and other chambers; coordinating civil and criminal trial preparation with counsel and U.S. Attorneys; conducting in-depth legal research on a wide array of nuanced issues; and drafting and editing substantive orders and opinions in civil cases. Jonathan was the lead law clerk on nearly a dozen trials ranging from dismantling international drug smuggling enterprises to breach of contract disputes involving Fortune 500 companies.
Jonathan is a proud alum of Emory University School of Law, the former managing editor of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal, and a recipient of Emory Law’s Transactional Law Certificate. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in commerce and business administration.
