Tucker is an attorney with the firm’s Class Action and Appellate Litigation Practice.
Tucker gained class action experience through his work as a summer associate and law clerk for a Baltimore civil litigation firm while in law school. There, he drafted discovery responses, oppositions to motions for summary judgment and class action complaints; worked extensively on a class action certification motion; and conducted document review in a class action involving 11 defendants.
Tucker’s work in litigation is informed by his experience as a judicial law clerk—he has clerked for the Honorable Ellen L. Hollander of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the Honorable Brynja M. Booth of the Supreme Court of Maryland. During his clerkships, Tucker drafted opinions resolving a wide range of pretrial and post-trial motions and appeals. Tucker also drafted bench memoranda and orders, conducted legislative history research, and managed a judicial docket.
In additional public sector experience, Tucker served as a law clerk for the Maryland Office of the Attorney General—Consumer Protection Division. In this role, he drafted memoranda on preemption, delegation doctrine, Appointments Clause and statute of limitations issues; conducted regulatory history research on prescription drug advertising regulations promulgated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration; and reviewed documents and prepared exhibits for trial.
