Grecia Sáenz Hamilton is an associate in Shook’s Business Litigation Practice, where she represents clients in complex, high-stakes disputes across a wide range of matters, including commercial litigation, product liability, mass torts, toxic tort and emerging contaminant litigation, privacy matters, and construction and design disputes. Her experience includes litigation arising from large-scale infrastructure and energy projects, as well as claims involving product defects and catastrophic equipment failures.
Grecia’s litigation experience spans the full lifecycle of a case, from early discovery through trial and resolution. She manages complex discovery, takes and defends depositions, prepares fact and expert witnesses, and briefs and argues dispositive motions. Grecia also has courtroom experience arguing motions in limine, examining witnesses and presenting evidentiary arguments, as well as arbitration experience supporting complex proceedings.
Grecia holds undergraduate degrees in biology and has prior experience in the medical field and conducting organic chemical research related to cancer therapeutics. Her background allows her to analyze complex technical and medical issues, effectively prepare and examine expert witnesses and contribute to the development of expert testimony.
Before joining Shook, Grecia practiced construction litigation and transactional law at an international law firm, where she represented corporate and individual clients in complex construction disputes and negotiated commercial and construction agreements, including AIA, EPC and design-build contracts. She previously represented clients in general liability and toxic tort litigation and maintains an active pro bono practice focused on immigration.
