Kyle is a member of the firm’s General Liability Litigation Practice. He represents businesses and individuals in civil litigation, including the defense of product liability, personal injury litigation, employment litigation, and commercial litigation. Frequently he has appeared in state and federal courts in a variety of cases in trials and appeals, including successfully arguing before the Kansas Supreme Court in a published decision.
Kyle has represented insurers, contractors, and other professionals and businesses in complex civil litigation, including product liability defense, general liability insurance defense, construction litigation, railroad litigation, workers compensation claims, subrogation litigation, business litigation, and other civil matters. He has also represented employers in employment litigation—including wrongful discharge and wage-and-hour claims. His experience includes defending clients in class action litigation. He has represented injured persons in national, mass tort litigation involving medical devices, pharmaceuticals, chemical exposures, and other product liability litigation.
Kyle also provides general counsel to businesses and has counseled companies regarding employment matters, intellectual property, and corporate matters. His experience includes advanced skills in written discovery, client and witness interviews, depositions, jury instructions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and appearances in administrative proceedings.
While earning his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law, Kyle was the student editor for the Family Law Quarterly Journal, served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Steve Leben of the Kansas Court of Appeals, and assisted in-house counsel on compliance matters for an international corporation. He earned his undergraduate degree in criminal justice and criminology summa cum laude from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
