Polly focuses her practice on products liability and complex business litigation, including matters involving pharmaceutical and medical devices, mass torts and employment disputes. She defends corporations against complex product liability actions in federal and state courts throughout the country and provides regulatory counseling for consumer product, medical device and pharmaceutical companies. In addition, Polly has represented a wide-range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies and individuals, in both state and federal employment matters including age, race, disability and sex discrimination, retaliation and harassment, wrongful termination and wage and hour claims.
Whether by achieving desired litigation outcomes or strategic counseling on proactive best practices, Polly provides results and solutions for her clients. Her litigation experience spans the entire lifecycle of a case, from early discovery through trial and appellate advocacy. She has substantial experience managing complex discovery, taking and defending depositions, and briefing and arguing dispositive motions in the courtroom.
While attending law school, Polly externed for the Honorable Susan Bryant-Deason at the Stanley Mosk courthouse for the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. She also worked at the Notre Dame Law Economic Justice Clinic, providing direct legal services to South Bend’s low-income residents, and participated as an Oralist on the Barristers Trial Team. Polly has also worked in the world of international human rights and public policy. Prior to law school, she worked for Praxis NGO, a non-governmental organization established in Belgrade, Serbia, which provides legal aid to refugees and asylum-seekers throughout the Balkan Peninsula and develops initiatives in support of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Polly is actively involved in pro bono matters, including representation of individuals seeking immigration and asylum assistance in the United States, after fleeing conditions in Latin America.
