Ila is a member of the Class Action & Appellate Litigation Group. A strategic, results-driven attorney, Ila is known for effective case management and a successful approach to matter resolution. Her experience includes managing an active case load of more than 100 complex litigation cases in product liability and warranty defense.
Before coming to Shook, Ila worked on product liability matters in the automotive industry, defending clients in warranty and lemon law cases. She became known for developing settlement strategies, evaluating risk, leverage and opportunity to achieve favorable resolutions while also advancing cases through litigation when warranted.
Ila earned her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, where she served in top leadership roles in university and student organizations, including acting as treasurer on the University’s Student Board of Governors and president of the Women’s Law Caucus. Ila also worked as a summer litigation intern, where she worked on multiple complex litigation matters, including a large class action involving a leading automotive manufacturer.
