Shook’s Black Employee Resource Group celebrated Black History Month with a new cookbook of delicious recipes. ERG members shared their favorite recipes ranging from a savory hashbrown casserole to a sweet lavender matcha latte. Try them all with the recipe cards to enjoy dishes from Associates Keirsten Keys, Joshua Hunter and Shannon Schoultz as well as Legal Administrative Assistant III Selena Russell and Legal Administrative Assistant II LisaMonique Mims.
The Black ERG promotes a welcoming environment for attorneys and professional staff and is open to all Shook employees. Shook’s ERGs are voluntary, employee-led groups open to employees of all backgrounds that aim to foster an inclusive workplace and provide a space for attorneys and professional staff to learn about each other.

Shook's Kansas City office building is host to one of only a few Missouri Department of Conservation nesting boxes for peregrine falcons in the Kansas City area. The box was first installed in 2016, and a livestreaming camera was installed in 2024.
