Chambers USA 2016 Recognizes Shook and its Attorneys

Shook, Hardy & Bacon’s product liability, environmental, insurance, intellectual property, and labor and employment practices have been recognized by Chambers & Partners in its 2016 edition of Chambers USA.

“We are pleased to once again be recognized among leading law firms by Chambers, and we are proud of the attorneys who have been included in the rankings,” Shook Chair John Murphy said.

Shook was recognized in Chambers’ Product Liability and Mass Torts practice area with a Band 1 national rating, noting the firm’s “very smart lawyers who are extremely adept at strategizing.”

Shook’s litigation practice garnered a Band 1 ranking in Missouri, Band 3 in Florida, and a Band 4 ranking in Illinois, with a client saying this about Shook: “A lot of large firms have litigators to service corporate interests out of a securities practice, but this is a litigation firm first and foremost. The lawyers are culturally and professionally set up for litigation and a natural fit for a lawsuit.” The firm’s environmental practice received a Band 1 ranking in Missouri, and was described as having “really good client relation skills, they certainly know the practice area very well and they are responsive”. Shook’s insurance: dispute resolution practice received a Band 3 ranking in Illinois for the first time.

Shook’s intellectual property team received a Band 2 ranking in Missouri, with a client highlighting the attorneys’, “no-nonsense attitude, their creative thinking and their go-getter approach to our matters.” Also receiving a Band 2 ranking in Missouri is Shook’s labor and employment group. Clients acclaimed, “We have been very happy with the firm, especially the level and quality of the lawyers we work within regard to the group”.
