Schwartz Discusses Judicial Hellholes® at Dallas Corporate Counsel Symposium
Dallas, Texas
Shook, Hardy & Bacon Public Policy Chair Victor Schwartz discusses “Finding and Closing Judicial Hellholes®: You Can Help Us Make It Happen!” at the 24th Annual SMU Dedman School of Law Corporate Counsel Symposium on Friday, October 28 at the Park Cities Hilton in Dallas, Texas. The Symposium’s Board of Advisors comprises 25 General and Deputy General Counsels from many of the nation’s largest companies.
Schwartz discusses how an annual report titled “Judicial Hellholes®,” created by Shook’s Public Policy Group a decade ago for the American Tort Reform Association, has brought about constructive change in courts that have demonstrated, under objective criteria, a strong bias against corporate defendants. He encourages those at the Symposium to help locate and eliminate Judicial Hellholes®.
The Symposium addresses a multiplicity of major issues faced by America's corporations. Schwartz’ fellow speakers include partners for major law firms, distinguished law professors and highly experienced corporate counsel.
