Goldberg to Discuss Climate Change Litigation at Capitol Hill Event
Partner and Co-Chair of Shook's Public Policy Group Phil Goldberg will be a presenter for "Climate Change in the Courts: A Perfect Storm of Litigation," a Congressional Civil Justice Academy event on May 31, 2019, at the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.
The panel, scheduled to include William Buzbee, Georgetown Law Center professor, and Gregory Conko, deputy director of the Law & Economics Center, will discuss the status of liability and public nuisance lawsuits filed against fossil fuel companies, the claims being made and offer their insights and predictions about the future of climate change litigation.
