Goldberg to Join California Panel on Climate Change
Partner and Co-Chair of Shook's Public Policy Group Phil Goldberg will join leaders from across California for a conversation on tackling climate change outside the court system, June 3, 2019, in Sacramento.
"Taking Climate Action: Combatting Climate Change Beyond the Courts," sponsored by the Progressive Policy Institute, will bring together legislators and policy leaders as well as energy and climate professionals to discuss practical and pragmatic solutions to climate change. Scheduled panelists include California Senate Majority Leader Bob Hertzberg, Kim Stone, past president of the Civil Justice Association of California, Jarrell Cook, policy director of the California Manufacturers and Technology Association, Daniel Johnson, associate energy specialist for the California Energy Commission, and Lenny Mendonca, chief economic and business adviser to California Governor Gavin Newsom. The event is open to the public, and begins at noon at the Ultra Room, 1116 15th Street, in Sacramento.
Goldberg is the director of the Progressive Policy Institute's Center for Civil Justice.
