Shook Attorneys to Speak at National ACC Virtual Meeting

Four Shook attorneys will speak at the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Virtual Annual Meeting being held October 12–16. 

Shook Chair of the Privacy and Data Security Practice Group Al Saikali, Partner and Director of Shook’s Biometric Privacy Task Force Melissa Siebert and Associate Colman McCarthy will be speaking October 14, 3:45 p.m. CDT. They will be part of the interactive presentation, “Breaking It Down and Breaking It Out: Minimizing the Legal Risks of Emerging Trends in Privacy and Cybersecurity.” Attendees will learn concrete steps their organizations can implement immediately to minimize the legal risks associated with ransomware attacks, the CCPA and biometric technology.

Shook Data and Discovery Strategies Associate Adam Shoshtari will be a presenter at “Using What You Have: Leveraging Information Governance Tools to Manage Internal Investigations and Litigations,” October 16, 10:15 a.m. CDT. This session will cover the accessible, affordable information technology and collaborative tools built into Office365 that allow automated features to identify threats, conduct broader searches and conclude internal investigations efficiently. The session will also show how law and compliance departments are successfully using these tools to meet their goals.
