ALM Names Shook Among Finalists for Best Provider Collaboration Awards

American Lawyer Media has just announced that Shook, Hardy & Bacon has been selected among its Industry Awards finalists in the Best Provider Collaboration category. Shook partnered with DLA Piper and Irwin Fritchie Urquhart & Moore, which led to a total defense verdict in the first (and so far only) bellwether trial in the litigation for their client Sanofi-Aventis U.S. (Sanofi).

Shook Attorneys including Partners Kelly Bieri, Adrienne Byard, Amy Crouch, Scott Kaiser, Chris Kaufman, Matt Keenan, Chris McRae, Patrick Oot, Harley Ratliff, Hildy Sastre, Lori Schultz, Connor Sears and Jon Strongman have overseen all aspects of the multidistrict litigation, including discovery processes, company analysis and productions, bellwether selection and work-up, scientific and expert development, settlement negotiations and trial preparation. All finalists will be celebrated and winners announced at a virtual event January 14, 2021. In addition, there is a charitable component with firms able to make donations to the New York City Bar Association’s Lawyer Assistance Program, which provides free confidential services to lawyers struggling with addiction and mental health issues.
