Shook Launches ‘Material Concerns’ Environmental Law Newsletter

Stay up to date with Shook’s recently launched newsletter on environmental law. Material Concerns: Legal Updates on Substances of Emerging Concern launched in July, with a detailed analysis of a “sweeping dismissal” of a California microplastics class action likely to have national implications.

In this second issue, Shook’s environmental team offers a state-by-state analysis of statutory and regulatory initiatives scheduled to take effect in 2026 targeting PFAS in consumer products. “Legislative Roundup: States Target PFAS in Consumer Products” is designed as an easy-access guide for attorneys and manufacturers to reference as they navigate the next year’s many changes in PFAS laws.

Shook’s Environmental and Toxic Tort Practice is composed of seasoned attorneys who have successfully handled environmental and toxic tort cases in state and federal courts and administrative tribunals across the nation. Led by Co-Chairs David Erickson and Adam Miller, the team contains a deep bench of attorneys whose proactive approach to protecting clients’ business interests and avoiding expensive litigation includes monitoring industry trends, legislative and regulatory developments, key judicial cases, plaintiffs’ bar activities, and the latest scientific literature.
